February 9th, 2008

Dear Current and Prospective MMO families,

Faith Presbyterian Church is preparing for its 11th year of Mother's Morning Out (MMO). Because of increased demand, the registration process will involve two phases:

I. In-House - Current MMO families, current waiting list/drop-in families, and siblings of current/former students.

* Registration forms will be available at the church beginning mid February and downloadable from www.faithpcachurch.org now.
* Completed forms with $50 registration/supply fee (per child) must be returned on Tues/Thurs, March 18/19 during MMO - 9:15am-12:15pm.

* Forms will be accepted first-come, first-served in the following order:
1) Current permanent placements
2) Current waiting/drop-in list placements
3) Siblings of current students
4) Siblings of former students

* Forms may not be submitted prior to Tuesday, March 18 and may not be emailed to the director. Acceptance notices will be sent the first week of April.

II. General Public - Families who are new to MMO.

* Registration forms will be available at the church beginning mid February and downloadable from www.faithpcachurch.org now.
* Completed forms will be accepted at the church on Thursday, March 20, 9:15am-12:30pm.
Forms will not be accepted prior to this time. If you cannot deliver your form during this time, please let the director know.
* A lottery will be held on March 24 to allocate the General Public slots and prioritize the waiting list. There is no need to be present for the lottery.
* Acceptance notices will be sent the first week of April.
* New families should not pay $50 registration/supply fee/child until receiving notification of permanent placement.
· After the March 24 lottery, registration forms may be mailed/emailed to the director. Registration will continue throughout the summer until all classes are full with waiting lists. Waiting list families will be called as weekly and permanent openings occur. Confirmation notices will be sent to all registrants.

Our desire is to accommodate as many families as possible. We believe a no-wait lottery is the most equitable process for allocating slots that remain after In-House registration. Please do not be discouraged if your child does not have a permanent placement immediately after registration. Historically, slots have become available over the summer as families' plans change and cancellations occur. Waiting list children are called to participate as weekly and permanent cancellations occur. Thank you for your interest in MMO.

Additional Faith Presbyterian Church Ministries Information !

MMO is just one of many ministries at Faith. Kid's Quest Club, for ages 4 through 5th grade, starts September 12 and will continue throughout the school year. This ministry uses First Catechism (based on the Westminster Confession of Faith's Shorter Catechism) to teach children biblical truths while singing, doing crafts and having fun with friends. Kid's Quest will meet Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 7:30.

If you have teens, Faith has a very active youth group, led by youth minister, Colin Ravenhill. Our middle-school group meets on Wednesday evenings during Kid's Quest, and our high-school students meet for dinner and study on Sunday evenings from 6-8:00. There are also weekly Bible studies and other scheduled fun activities.

Adults at Faith are encouraged to join small groups for Bible study, fellowship and encouragement. Fourteen different home-based small groups meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. There are other weekly Bible Studies for women and men. Women in the Church (WIC) gather every Wednesday from 9:30 until noon. Childcare is provided. Other Bible studies for women will begin in September on Thursday and Friday mornings. Contact Pat MacGregor for more information- (pat@pmacgregor.com).
Men in the Church (MIC) meet on Wednesday mornings at 6:20am at Cracker Barrel, Thursday mornings at 7:00am at Jittery Joe's in Watkinsville, and Thursdays for 11:30 lunch at Jersey Mike's on Epps Bridge. Contact Harvey Kirkpatrick at the church for more information (Harvey@faithpcachurch.org / 706-769-8315).

We have two Sunday morning worship services at 8:30 and 10:55. During the worship services, we offer Children's Church for ages four through first grade. Childcare for infants and toddlers is always available. Between the two services, Sunday School for children, teens, adults and seniors is provided. Children meet together at 9:45 for a time of group singing before they go to class. Click here to see our Adult Sunday School offerings.

Whether you are a life-long Believer, just beginning your Christian walk, or still spiritually seeking, you are more than welcomed at Faith. We would love the opportunity to get to know you better. Do join us, won't you?
