How to Grow in Communication with Your Spouse at Home During COVID-19

For Kelly and I, communication is something we always need to work on. And one of the things I’ve found over the last month is that we are around each other a lot more, but probably having less intentional conversations about important things. Some is because it feels hard to find even a few minutes to ourselves. But this article has some good idea for how to purposefully use this time to grow in your relationship with your spouse.

It’s OK to Be a Different Kind of Parent During the Pandemic

I think this is a pretty moving and insightful article about parenting in unique circumstances. The author’s husband died suddenly a few years ago when they had a toddler and she was pregnant with their second child. She talks about some of the things that helped her parent through that painful time and how it can help us think about parenting in this tragic time.

MOVIE: Jump Shot: The Kenny Sailors Story

For those of you who are missing sports on tv, and have kids that are missing them also, this looks like it could be a good basketball movie about the guy who invented the basketball jump shot. It’s produced by Steph Curry and includes lots of NBA stars. Just an idea if you’re looking for something different. I think Micah and I are going to watch it this weekend.

VIDEO: Hope in a Time of Fear with Tim Keller

This is a video series that includes a talk and question and answer with Tim Keller. It helps us think through how the gospel meets us in these difficult times and helps us to share that hope with others. I think this is the second in the series.
