How to Start a Gospel Conversation after Watching a Movie
As you’ve probably noticed, I love movies. And we’ve been watching a lot of them lately as our family has been home and around more. This article is a good reminder of the power of stories and how they can create easy entry points into gospel conversations- whether it’s with your friends, unbelieving neighbor, or your kids. One of my favorite parts of going to movies with friends is standing around afterwards and talking about them. I hope this article leads you to enjoy a good movie and have an even better conversation as a result.

I’m Thinking it Over
“To post or not to post…that is the question!” We live in a time when people are convinced that it is a virtue to say something about everything, and say it quickly. And yet, the book of James admonishes us to be “slow to speak, quick to listen, and slow to get angry.” This article reminds us that we don’t have to say something about everything and that our abiltiy to respond slowly is a way of valuing the truth. His list of 8 things to think about before you comment are good [I don’t have to spend my time in environments that press me to speak without knowledge, If I can bring rot an issue heat, but not light, it is probably best that I remain silent…]. We live in a challenging time for public dialogue and, even though this article is a few years old, it has some good recommendations that would be especially good to talk about wit your kids who spend time on social media.

KIDS BOOK SERIES: The Rwendigo Tales
This is a 4 book series Emily read a while back and really enjoyed. She has friends who live in Africa and this helped her understand a little more of the world they live in. And they are compelling stories written by a missionary doctor for her kids as they serve in East Africa.
